MANAUS – Yves Maria, 13, from the city of Itacoatiara, was qualified this Sunday, 22, in the blind auditions of the TV show The Voice Kids Brazil, of Rede Globo. The sertanejo duo Maiara e Maraísa turned the chair to the young singer, who let her voice loose with the song “Eu Só Queria Te Amar (¡Corre!)”.

With a refined voice, sweet, but somewhat low, the young girl enchanted the judges. Maiara and Maraísa, however, pressed the button, selecting the young woman, only at the last second, which did not prevent Yves from being praised.

“You have a very mature voice. You sing very well. It really comes down to this moment when the teams are narrowing down and we start to think a little bit about the tone of voice we are going to put on the team. You have a sensational voice, a very tasteful singing. Congratulations, you are very welcome in The Voice Kids,” praised Michel Teló.

Persistence

Born in Itacoatiara (270 kilometers from Manaus), Yves Maria has been singing since she was 5 years old. The teenager remembers that she started singing listening to the artist Lady Gaga and soon joined a choir in a church in the city. “My dream is to show my voice to the world, to sing in other places, cities and countries”, she emphasized.

Before going on stage, the young lady told about her persistence in trying to participate in the program. To presenter Márcio Garcia, the young artist recalled that she signed up for The Voice Kids Brazil six times, but only managed to get a place this year. “This is great, because there are people who don’t make it once and give up already,” said Márcio Garcia, praising the Amazonian.
