MANAUS- The Brazilian Lesbian Articulation (ABL) has open inscriptions for the simplified selective process for the Lesbian Leadership Training Course. The deadline to enroll goes until this Thursday, 21st, and it can be done by filling out the GoogleForms form. The training is free of charge and aims to intensify the insertion of lesbian and bisexual women in the political sphere and in initiatives that guarantee the confrontation against lesbophobia in all social forums.

The agenda will have 30 spots available, and has the support of Fundo Positivo (Health – HIV – Diversity), and it is scheduled to happen every Saturday, from 1 pm to 7 pm, starting on April 30 and ending on June 25, at the Coletivo Difusão building, Guapiaçu Street, 16, Cidade Nova, North Zone of Manaus.

According to the entrepreneur and interested in participating in the project, Dinha Saraiva, 34, the course is an opportunity to debate and foster the development of public policies and fortify leaderships focused on the rights of the LGBTQIA+ population, an initiative lacking in the state, according to the chef.

Here in the city of Manaus, unfortunately, we don’t have many groups, only lesbians, that debate these issues. I believe that, starting from the course, we can change this scenario a little more, bring more of the lesbian and bisexual population to dialogue, discuss, elaborate, create. We really need to talk about our rights, health, and duties”, says the entrepreneur.

With the right to a certification at the end of the course for those who present at least 75% of the class attendance, the course brings notions of employability, confrontation to racism and gender violence, human rights, culture, health, education, besides approaching the history of the lesbian movement.

For more details, those interested can access the electronic address and check the complete announcement, before filling out the registration form with the requested information. “It is a tool for women empowerment and I believe it will make a difference for those who will participate”, says Dinha.
