MANAUS (AM) and VILHENA (RO) – The integration between the journalism professionals of CENARIUM and TV Cultura was closed this Friday, 13, celebrating the successful partnership between the two media vehicles. Since Monday, 9, the reporters from Amazonas, Marcela Leiros, and Rondônia, Iury Lima, as well as the editorial coordinator, Juliana Mattos, integrated the team of producers and reporters from the station’s headquarters in São Paulo, participating directly in the production routine of journalistic reports.

For Iury Lima, a correspondent from Vilhena – a city 706.4 kilometers away from Porto Velho, in the state of Rondônia -, about 1,871 kilometers from São Paulo, the sharing of experiences and knowledge was enriching, providing the opportunity to increasingly take Amazon themes to the world.

“CENARIUM should gain even more strength and weight with the result of this training. Marcela and I are now network reporters for TV Cultura, through this partnership. This means that, besides contributing to the national journalism of the largest public broadcasting station in the country, receiving assignments that come from the São Paulo newsroom for the production of the news, CENARIUM will also be able to assign Amazon themes to Cultura. It is an exchange and the winner is Brazil”, said Lima.

Integration

Besides getting to know the entire physical structure of the TV Cultura complex, including the recording studios and the journalism sector, the team also participated in mirror meetings, a name given to the meeting in which the topics (reports) to be produced for the afternoon and Cultura newspapers are discussed.

The reporters also had the opportunity to follow the TV journalists in the field (outdoors) and also produce bulletins and reports. The expectation for the new experiences is shared by Marcela Leiros, who reinforces the importance of the partnership, signed in January this year, and consolidated in this integration.

“The relationship that we already had with TV Cultura was consolidated with this opportunity to live and share the routine of journalistic production of one of the largest broadcasters in the country. To be able to say that CENARIUM is also part of TV Cultura is an immense pleasure, because it demonstrates the trust in our work. And we will work even harder to strengthen this trust”, highlighted the reporter.

Partnership

TV Cultura has more than 50 years of history and its journalism is marked by tradition, ethics and integrity. As for CENARIUM, with a little over a year of creation, under the direction of executive director Paula Litaiff, it carries, in such a short time, the recognition for its ethical, serious, and investigative work.

“The purpose of Cenarium is to bring more information about a region that is constantly invisible, which is the Amazon, through ethical, serious, and investigative journalism. When TV Cultura opens its doors to Cenarium, it is demonstrating trust in our work and also opening the doors to the Amazonian people”, said Litaiff.

Since January the Amazonian company – with correspondents in Rondônia, Pará and Brasília – is responsible for the production of journalistic material about the Amazon and TV Cultura provides the national programming for the online platform of the magazine at www.revistacenarium.com.br. After more than six months of successful partnership, AGÊNCIA CENARIUM was created, content generator for the Portal Cultura UOL.
