Cetam’s profile, on social networks, is the most followed among the AM state agencies

MANAUS – The digital presence has become increasingly important in the daily lives of people and companies, and not having a profile on social networks, currently, equates to not existing. Based on this, several companies, agencies and entities, private or public, started to invest in digital media. This approach to the public guarantees a direct dialogue and access to information, guaranteed by law.

A survey based on the data available on social networks, checked this Wednesday, 19, analyzed academic and governmental institutions in Amazonas, and scored the most relevant institutional and State Government profiles. The Centro de Educação Tecnológica do Amazonas appears at the top of the state agencies and educational institutions in number of followers.

Leaving out the official profile of the Government of Amazonas, which currently has more than 220 thousand followers, the Technological Education Center of Amazonas (Cetam) is the most followed, among 14 secretariats and 12 municipalities, with 65.4 thousand followers. Next are the State Secretariat of Education and Sports (Seduc), with 62.9 thousand and the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy (SEC), with 57.5 thousand followers.

Educational bodies

Among the educational institutions, Cetam is also in the lead, followed by Seduc, Centro Universitário Fametro (50.9 thousand), and Universidade Federal do Amazonas (48.6 thousand). Completing the ranking are: Uninorte, Manaus Municipal Education Secretary, Nilton Lins University, Amazonas State University, Amazonas Federal Institute, and Lato Sensu College.

According to the CEO of Cetam, professor doctor, José Augusto de Melo Neto, engagement in social networks was crucial to capture the demand of the public and the participation of the body, in the media, resulted in a work agile and transparent. “The return is immediate and everyone wins with that,” assured the director in an interview to CENARIUM MAGAZINE.

For the professor, the presence of public agencies is a guideline of the Government of Amazonas and guarantees the effectiveness in publicizing the courses to the public. “One of the ways that proved to be more effective in capturing the demand of our public was through engagement in social networks. All of our services are available on the main platforms. Thus, we are getting closer and closer to the students’ needs and the demands of the labor market,” he said.

This disclosure resulted in an increase in demand, according to José Neto, the forecast for 2022 is that the number of public and free vacancies for the course will increase. “In the Wilson Lima Government, the attendance figures for professional and technological education have been expanded. In 2022, we should surpass the unprecedented mark of 200 thousand public and free vacancies. The growth of followers in social networks is a reflection of this,” he says.

Digital presence

For the digital strategist Lucas Cristian, many public organizations have increased their digital presence in recent years, mainly as a communication channel with the population. “It is something notorious, even in the electoral process that is near, this is thanks to the number of citizens who are on Instagram, Facebook and other networks, and as the goal of public communication is to inform the population, the masses, of what is happening on their behalf, digital presence is extremely important,” he assesses.

He believes that not only creating a profile, but knowing how to work with it is what differentiates today. “If it is done in a correct and strategic way, showing content in various formats and humanizing the posts to generate identification with more people. Including, it is worth noting that, observing the Instagram of Cetam, it is possible to verify, even in a quick way, that for being an institution that the mission is to promote education, but, mainly, by seizing current instruments such as cards, reels and videos, generates greater identification and people are more willing to consume the content, “he comments.

As a content producer and someone who has been working with social networks for the past few years, Lucas says he realizes how important it is for public organizations to be on digital media, “after all, they are at the service of the population, so they need to notify them about what happens, and this is part of the right to information,” he concludes.
