MANAUS – Celebrated on May 25, the “National Adoption Day” is a date that aims to promote debates about the initiative, considered an act of love, both for those who are adopted and for those who adopt. Since the Decree of Law n° 10.447, of May 9th, 2002, the date became official in Brazil, and it pays attention to one of the most important principles of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), in the terms of art. 19, which, in summary, states that every child has the right to be raised and educated in the family and community life in a dignified way.

But the act that has the power to change lives is usually surrounded by many questions. Aiming to ease doubts and help in the understanding of which requirements need to be met for an adoption, within the legal ways, CENARIUM brings on Wednesday, 25, the show ‘CENARIUM DIVERSITY’ special on adoption, with the participation of the holder of the Court of Children and Youth (JIJC), the Court of Justice of the Amazon, magistrate Rebeca de Mendonça Lima.

The show is part of the list of ten special episodes of the second season, in podcast format. During the chat, the judge talks about the national theme and, mainly, about the local reality. The how to proceed, waiting line, profile, age and projects developed in shelters are some of the points highlighted by the judge.
